Wednesday Walkers: Members looking for longer walks might like to join Peter S. on a Wednesday. The Wednesday Walkers regularly walk 10 to 15 miles. Not only do they walk in Surrey but Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Chilterns. The High Weald Landscape Trail: This linear walk is 90 miles long from Horsham to Rye in seven sections of 12 to 16 miles walking at a moderately fast pace (started Saturday 10th May). We will wander through the High Weald passing through or close to Horsham, Haywards Heath, East Grinstead and Royal Tunbridge Wells. We usually walk on the first Saturday of each month, we use cars and public transport if available. Only two persons allowed per car. Non drivers are welcome to join this walk if transport allows. Saturday 19th July: Ramblers’ Stall at the Ewell Village Fair

We’ll be pleased to see members and non-members at our stall at the Ewell Village Fair, in the grounds of Ewell Castle School, Church Street, Ewell, from 10:30 a.m. till 4:30 p.m. Any members of the Group who would like to help please ring Bob on 020 8224 3128. Sunday 2nd November: Ockham Common and Wisley, Surrey (5 miles; start 10:30 am)

Moderate pace morning walk from Boldermere car park near kiosk, Old Lane (GR TQ078585; SSA 72 B2) via Wisley Airfield, Wisley Common, and Semaphore Tower. Can be very boggy after rain. Some steep steps. Refreshments 1/2 way, just outside Wisley Gardens or after walk. Start 10.30 am. Tuesday 4th November: Ripley, Surrey (5 miles; 10:30 am)

Moderate pace morning walk from car park near childrens’ play ground, Ripley [turn right off High St. opposite Wylie & Mar furnishers, before pedestrian crossing] (GR TQ052571; SSA 91 C7) via Wey Navigation, Pyrford Lock and Ockham Mill. Wednesday 5th November: Blackheath to Waterloo (10 miles; meet 10:30)

Moderate pace walk across Blackheath, through Greenwich Park, under the river, through Canary Wharf, along the north side Thames path and across the Millenium Bridge. Meet at Platform 12 at Waterloo at 10.30 to catch the 10.50 train from Waterloo East to Blackheath [Arr 11.07]. Paved surface throughout. No hills. Food and drink available on the way.
